Tool follows purpose

Digital technology in the music lesson

  • Half day
  • Music teachers primary & secondary education
  • No technical background needed

I notice it more and more: teachers would like to use technology in their music lessons, but don't know where to start. Or they've tried an app that didn't quite fit. Sound familiar?

In this practical half-day session, I take you into the world of digital tools for the music lesson. But it's not about the tools themselves — it's about the question: when does technology add value to your lesson, and when doesn't it?

We start with an honest conversation: what are you already doing, where are you getting stuck, and what would you like to try? From there, we get straight to work. I'll show you tools I use in my own lessons — from music creation apps to smart ways of composing together.

The most important thing I want you to take away: a tool only becomes valuable once you've fully explored it. That's why you get plenty of time to experiment. I'll walk around, help you along, and together we discuss what works and what doesn't.

You'll go home with concrete ideas you can use tomorrow. Not a list of apps, but an approach that fits your teaching practice.

Who it's for

  • Music teachers in primary and secondary education
  • Whether you want to start with technology or deepen your approach

The best moment is when a teacher says: 'I'm going to try this on Monday.' That's what I do it for.
